Combined Christmas Cg

We had a very fun-filled Christmas cg together with N149 at Riverwalk. First up was the games where several sporting male members got dressed up as Santa Claus.

And other than the usual carols, we also watched a video of an inspiring life testimony of Neville Tan. It showed how a hardened gangster, through various seeds sowed by different people and at different occasions, encountered Jesus and finally surrendered his life to Him. Never belittle the seeds you sow into your friends' lives, be it a kind deed, a simple sharing of your testimony or your prayers for them!

Then it was time for the most anticipated part of the cg - the gift exchange. Several weeks before, we were briefed repeatedly by Edmund to get a nice gift for the gift exchange! No chocolates, no photo frames, no vouchers! And our gift exchange was extra special, in more ways than one!

Out of the numerous gifts out there, instead of an actual gift, you may pick out carefully wrapped UNO cards like "WILD", "DRAW TWO" and "SKIP". "WILD" allows you to take your pick out of any gifts that have been opened, if you get "DRAW TWO", you get to open two gifts and choose one out of the two and "SKIP" simply means you get to pick your gift only later. There was also a bonus gift of $50 cash hidden somewhere!

The beautifully wrapped gifts we were all waiting to get our hands on!

Here we are happily unwrapping our gifts!

Charmaine is the very blessed recipient of the $50! Sometimes looks can be deceiving, the big gifts may not really be that big and yet at times, the big gifts (like in this case!), hide a very special gift within!

And of course, we cannot forget to mention a special occurrence that is still the talk of both cgs up till today! When a sweet and demure girl in eager excitement over being able to obtain a gift she had set her sights on, exclaimed pretty loudly, "I want M.....!" According to her, she meant to say "I want M......s' one..." but seems like no one heard that!

Finally, check out the video below as we cheer the year that has passed and welcome 2009, a year of new beginnings, especially for some people! Hee!
