Harvest House

Today after service we went to take a look at HARVEST House – kinda like an “open house” to show the core values of our church. H.A.R.V.E.S.T stands for Home cell groups, Authority of the Bible, Relationships, Vibrant Praise & Worship, Evangelism, Spirit-filled Living and Tithing. We only managed to go to A, R, V and T but I think we all agree it was lots of fun!

Our first stop was Authority of the Bible, where we did a crossword search of 10 words like Love, Forgiveness, Salvation, etc. We of course also learnt about sharing as we shared answers! =) Then with the “money” we had earned for completing the crossword, we went to R, which was something we all looked forward to! Then, we tried V in the form of “Don’t forget the lyrics!”. Of course, we had to get the K-King Junren to be our representative! Very good attempt and he had the crowd wow-ed, although it was only 2 lines =p

Finally, we went to T to tithe (give 10%) of our earnings. Junren gave 100% of his tithing and was blessed with 2 Ice Lemon Tea, DVDs, financial excellence booklets, etc. It’s definitely more blessed to give than to receive! =)

Guess we all agree we had lots of fun and we learnt something too!

Umbrella ... ella ... eh ... eh .. eh

On a hot sunny day, some people just need to whip out their umbrellas... guess who? =p

Mother’s Day is coming!

For cg this week, we did something different! We took photos of ourselves to make a very special Mother’s Day gift for all of our dearest mothers! Check out some of the shots taken below!

Tomorrow’s Mother’s Day, hope you have something great planned and in store for your Mummy! There will be a special drama and photo presentation for all mummies so bring your mothers along for service! =)))

Amanda's Water Baptism

Today was Amanda's special day as she took the step of faith to get water baptised! Check out the photos below!

Bryan's Makeover Part II

After the successful execution of Part I of Bryan's Makeover, we the special task force, couldn't leave it to chance that the other few steps of this operation would be carried out. So once again at T3 Foodcourt, we started the gentle persuasion, then active encouragement, and finally aggressive action. "Let's go today, NOW!" and off we were on the train to Marina Square.

Our first stop was Pedro at CityLink Mall. Stylish brown shoes to replace the old (3 years old!) Camper shoes! If we ever see those shoes again.......! Say goodbye to them forever!

Then we made a stop at the very fashionable Desigual which was also having a sale. There Bryan snagged a green top (specially for his Children's Church services) at 70% off! Who says you need to be rich to look good?

Finally, to the promised land of the haircut! Check out the before and after!

Cool right? But there's more!

Kelvin and Charmaine also had haircuts! Yes to a sharper looking N416!

VDay Cg 2009

All the adult cgs gathered together at Riverwalk for the very first ET Zone Adult VDay Cg! Other than fun games (one involving a strawberry Pocky stick!), touching slideshows, live dedications, roses for the sisters, most importantly we were all reminded to cherish and appreciate our loved ones.

Sunday Madness!

One fateful Sunday afternoon, we finished our lunch at T3 and were walking back to the MRT when we heard a familiar tune playing. Janie exclaimed, "Hey I like this song and dance very much!" and led us to where the music was coming from. Apparently it was a booth set up by Visa to get people dancing to that catchy fun tune and enter a contest to vie for the funniest video. We gamely stepped up to the challenge and you can see the resulting video below!
